KATALOG is a macOS music-library application for collections kept in local audio files. It combines browsing, playback, DJ preparation, version comparison and release preparation in one library. The interface offers Play, Prep, Studio and Desk layouts, with features such as crates, key and tempo analysis, cue points and comparison of different versions of the same recording.
The site describes import and export connections with tools including Apple Music and Serato, metadata editing, artwork and lyric handling, duplicate detection and missing-file recovery. Audio does not need to be moved into a managed folder just to build the catalogue. That does not mean no operation can change files: explicit tag-writing and conversion tools are also listed. KATALOG is beta software for macOS 14 or later on Intel or Apple Silicon, and its site advises starting with a backed-up music library. Basic features are free, with a one-time support licence for extras and a time-limited full-version trial. It is aimed at music collections that extend beyond what a streaming catalogue can hold.
