Subclippy is a tool for editing videos with Python and AI. It wraps video operations in a scriptable interface so users can cut, clip and transform footage programmatically, including AI-assisted auto-clipping that finds the moments worth keeping. The approach turns repetitive editing work - pulling highlights, trimming dead air, cutting variants - into code that can be rerun.
It is aimed at developers automating video pipelines and creators who prefer a script to manual timeline work, in the spirit of earlier programmable-editing projects like videogrep. The project is documented on haihai.ai with source available on GitHub.
