Stellate is a GraphQL edge platform used to secure, scale and observe GraphQL APIs worldwide. Its edge caching layer understands GraphQL types and invalidation, so responses can be cached safely at the CDN level rather than only at the client. On top of caching it adds protection against abusive queries, rate limiting and real-time analytics about how APIs are consumed.
Engineering teams adopt Stellate to cut origin load and latency without changing their GraphQL servers - the service sits in front of the existing API as a proxy. The company, founded by the team behind GraphCDN, also publishes widely used GraphQL tooling and research.
