Maali is a desktop personal-finance app for Mac and Windows. Users bring in bank statement CSV files or connect through the independent SimpleFIN service, then review categorized transactions, spending and recurring charges. The product is designed around keeping the working finance data and its optional AI analyst on the user's own computer.
The app includes views for cash flow, net worth and retirement planning, and it remembers a user's category correction for a merchant. The current site offers a 30-day trial followed by a one-time purchase, with the bank-connection service priced separately. The AI analyst requires its own download and memory allocation, but the site says dashboards, budgets and forecasts remain available when that feature is disabled. A live demo uses fictional data so visitors can explore the interface before installing.
