Codemodder is a pluggable framework for building and running codemods - scripts that transform source code automatically. It provides the scaffolding to write expressive codemods, run them across a codebase with reviewable diffs, and package them so other teams can apply the same transformation. The goal is to make large-scale code change a routine, testable artifact instead of a risky one-off.
The project grew out of security-focused auto-remediation work at Pixee and targets both security fixes and general refactoring. Codemodder maintains libraries of ready-made codemods for Java, Python and other ecosystems, and the framework itself is open source.
