Chitra Studio is an Apple Silicon Mac application for generating and organizing AI images, video, voices, music and sound effects. Users select models, see a generation's credit cost before running it and retain the prompt, model, references and settings alongside the result. Its comparison workflow sends a prompt to several models and presents results together, while editing, animation and audio tools extend individual outputs.
The media library is stored in a folder on the Mac, but prompts and reference images are sent to the relevant model provider for generation. This is not a promise of fully local AI processing. Library organization is free; generation requires an active licence and credits after the trial. The official page lists a 14-day trial with 50 credits and no card requirement, followed by a $49 annual licence with additional credit purchases for usage. The current download requires Apple Silicon and macOS 15 or later. Project-level cost reports and exportable usage records make it relevant to creators who need to track the work behind generated media.
